Day 7

We begun today with a short drive down to the waterfront and a first-hand look at The Burren literally meaning ‘rocky place.’ Brandt and I had never seen anything like it—layers upon layers of rectangular shaped rocks. We also made a drive out to view the Poulnabrone dolmen—an ancient druid portal tomb that looks a bit like a table.

Later in the evening we had our anniversary dinner at our B&B—the Roadford house. It’s run by Marian and her husband, Frank—who happens to be an award winning gourmet chef. We enjoyed an amazing meal and also a brilliant rainbow outside the restaurant window. Lastly, we made a new friend—“Beans”—an Irish pointer/Golden retriever mix.
